if we turn off the screenshot then none of our data on the monitor will be captured right? Trying to wrap around my head around healthcare compliance
Great question! When you start a recording, TalkTastic takes a single screenshot of just the focused application window on your Mac - not your whole screen. It only captures when you explicitly trigger it, never otherwise. If you turn off the snapshot feature, there's no screenshot capture at all. If you're concerned about data privacy, you can set screenshots to "delete". In this mode, the screenshots are only temporarily used for processing through our API providers (who are bound by business TOS), then instantly deleted from our servers. We won't retain any access to them - similar to how Apple intelligence handles cloud computing. We're planning to add per-app customization of these settings as a premium feature.
Thank you for the explanation. But what about the API providers? Don't they have access to the screenshot content?
They have their own commercial terms of service that cover this. Right now we use Claude for screensho analysis. Here's their commercial terms for handling that data. Not sure if that completely answers your question though?
