Time Limit for Recordings in TalkTastic for Computer Conversations
If one wanted to use TalkTastic to take notes (up to a full transcript) of a computer conversation , is there a time limit on the recordings?
No, there's no recording time limit. While TalkTastic is currently optimized for single-speaker dictation, we are planning to add a meeting mode in the future. While people are using it for meeting notes - which honestly surprised me given how many other tools are specifically designed for that - we don't officially support that use case yet. Since we're seeing users do this anyway, we'll definitely add proper meeting support down the line. Right now though, our main focus is on perfecting the single-speaker dictation experience.
Thanks! That makes perfect sense! I imagine others might feel the same way—having so many tools can be overwhelming, so having one main tool for everything would be ideal. If I could press just one button (like the microphone on the keyboard) and handle all my transcribing needs—notes, conversations, even a smart assistant to look up relevant info on the fly—that simplicity would be a game-changer. For me, that kind of streamlined command with powerful functionality is ideal.
