I don't think this is related, but programs like Perplexity are sort of leaving the "new conversation" paradigm. As result, there's a lot of context in those windows and today had the first slip up where an input got sidetracked by a previous conversation that wasn't relevant anymore.
I can't do a one-for-one comparison there however; fresh conversations don't get sidetracked like that so the behaviour might have existed previously.
