Fix TalkTastic Keyboard Shortcut Issue on macOS: Step-by-Step Guide

Problem: Unable to activate TalkTastic using keyboard shortcut When using the keyboard shortcut, the desktop app opens to the Settings > Microphone view rather than initiating a new voice recording. This is caused by a corrupted macOS permissions file after recent upgrade. Same problem/solution as here. DIY Solution - Reset all TalkTastic macOS permissions in System Settings > Privacy & Security.

Quit TalkTastic completely (important)

Reset all permissions for TalkTastic on your Mac

Toggle off all TalkTastic macOS permissions in System Settings > Privacy & Security

Terminal

Run the following command in macOS Terminal: tccutil reset All com.theoasis.TalkTastic

Run this one too as an extra redundancy: tccutil reset All com.theoasis.TalkTastic-App

Relaunch TalkTastic.

Manually reenable all of TalkTastic macOS permissions in System Settings.

Worst Case Scenario Solution - Delete TalkTastic from your Mac and do a fresh re-install from the website.
